Issue/Introduction

To allow Hosted EDR users to reset their Two-Factor Authentication without contacting Carbon Black.

Environment

  • Hosted EDR
  • Two-Factor Authentication enabled 

Resolution

  1. Login to Hosted EDR authentication page with your old device.
  2. At the Hosted EDR login page, click "Add a new device"
  3. Follow the prompts to add your new device for future logins.

  • If you no longer have access to your old mobile device or old phone number, please contact Carbon Black support. 
  • Hosted EDR uses Duo for its Two-Factor Authentication
