Issue/Introduction

How to perform an in place MacOS upgrade with CB Defense Sensor installed

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud MacOS Sensor: All Supported Versions
• Apple MacOS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Upgrade Sensor to version compatible to the MacOS version being upgraded from and to
2. Put the Sensor into bypass from the console
3. Complete OS upgrade
4. Sensor will come out of bypass with slight delay after sending command from the console

Additional Information

• While these are the steps to upgrade the OS with the sensor in bypass
• Per this these steps shouldn't be needed to complete a MacOS upgrade
