CB Response: Stale Date With Error In Server Communication Status Widget

Issue/Introduction

• Under the Server Dashboard > Server Communication Status section, an error code is presented, but the <date> specified is significantly in the past.

Cb Threat Intel enabled but not connected. Error code: <error code> at <date>

• An OperationalError appears somewhere inside the master server's /var/log/cb/allianceclient/* directory. Look for this error as root by running:

# /var/log/cb/allianceclient/* |grep psycopg2.OperationalError

 

Environment

• CB Response Server: 6.1.2 - 6.2.3

Cause

Improperly handled exception from postgres DB causes a query failure to not be retried and the underlying thread to terminate. This known issue is tracked as CB-22467.

Resolution

• Restart the CB Response cluster to immediately address the issue.

• This issue is resolved in CB Response 6.2.4.
