Issue/Introduction

How is endpoint name set during sensor installation?

Environment

  • Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Versions

Resolution

  • Endpoint name value is pulled from endpoints registry. 
  • If the endpoint is connected to the domain it will display "DOMAIN\HOSTNAME".  
  • If endpoint is not connected to the domain it will display as "HOSTNAME".
