CB Defense: Local UI icon on end point disappears without back end intervention

Issue/Introduction

CB Defense Local UI icon disappears on the end point without any changes being made in the Cb Defense console.

Environment

• CB Defense: Windows Sensors

Cause

• "Cb Defense Sensor Notification Utility xxx" process has stopped or failed to start
• Cb Defense sensor is stuck in error status.

Resolution

1. Restart the "Cb Defense Sensor Notification Utility xxx" process by double clicking on C:\Program Files\Confer\RepUx.exe. The icon should then reappear in the task tray;
2. If the issue persists or reappears after reboot, reinstall the sensor to bring it out of error status.
