Issue/Introduction

• Installation fails with: 'fltmgr check failed aborting'

Environment

• EDR Sensor: Supported Versions
• Windows: Server 2003, XP

Cause

• The EDR sensor requires the Filter Manager service to be installed. The Filter Manager service comes with Service Pack1.

Resolution

• Install Service Pack 1.
• Confirm Filter Manager service is available and running:
  • From a command prompt:

sc query fltmgr

• Attempt reinstallation of sensor on endpoint
