Issue/Introduction

Does the PSC Sensor run an additional Background Scan when changing policies?

Environment

• CB PSC: All versions
• CB Defense Windows Sensor: All Versions

Resolution

Not unless the previous policy the sensor belonged to did not have Background Scan enabled. The PSC Sensor remembers whether a Background Scan has already occurred. If it has, changing policies will not cause another scan to complete. See Related Content for more information on Background Scans.
