Issue/Introduction

Can EDR Server file and folder permissions be changed that will still allow the application to operate?

Environment

• EDR Server: All Versions

Resolution

File and folder permissions should never be changed on the EDR Server; defaults set when installed should be kept.

Additional Information

• If any permissions are changed, the system will try to revert the changes during the next services restart.
• The /var/run/postgresql directory should also not be touched, as postgres can be prevented from starting if this directory is altered in any way.
