Issue/Introduction

Why does the 7.x Linux sensor installer package contain multiple rpm files now instead of one rpm file?

Environment

  • EDR Sensor: 7.0 and Higher
  • Linux: All Supported Versions

Resolution

This change to multiple rpms was made to accommodate different components of the sensor, some of which are kernel-dependent.

Additional Information

The sh script included with the sensor package will deploy the rpms correctly, however if using a third party deployment tool, changes will need to be made on the tool to accommodate the additional rpms.
