Issue/Introduction
How to invite new users to a private Company Group to view and open Technical Support cases.
Environment
User Exchange: All Versions
Active User with Group Admin rights
Resolution
Log into the Carbon Black UEX with a Group Admin account.
Navigate to the Company Group's home page (Company Group > Company Group).
Click the View All button under the list of members:
Click Invite Members
Enter the user's User Exchange id into the "Send To" field
Click Send Invitation.
Additional Information
Note: Make sure to use the user ID and not the user's email when inviting them
The new user will receive an email invitation to join the group.
The new user needs to validate their email in order to be added to the group.
If the user is not validated they will see the error "You do not have sufficient permissions for this resource or its parent to perform this action".
PLEASE NOTE: there is a bug currently where the system cannot return two-character usernames in order to invite them. If you need to invite a team member that has a 2-character username, please email us and we'll take care of it.
