Issue/Introduction

  • Receive "Failed to veirfy activation" error when attempting to activate CDC Reputation key on a new App Control server.

Environment

  • App Control Server: 8.5.4 and Higher

Cause

Same CDC Reputation key being used on multiple App Control servers.

Resolution

  • Reach out to Customer Success Manager / Account team to obtain a new CDC Reputation Key.
  • Activate new CDC Reputation Key on new App Control server:
    1. In the App Control console, navigate to the top right hand corner and select the "Gear (Administration) > System Configuration > Licensing"
    2. Enter in the new Activation Key and click "Activate"
