Issue/Introduction

Are Carbon Black EDR Sensor checkin events logged in the NGINX access.log file?

Environment

• Carbon Black EDR Server: 6.5.2 and Higher
• Carbon Black EDR Sensor: All Supported Versions

Resolution

Successful sensor checkins are no longer logged in NGINX access.log file to reduce the amount of logging required by the NGINX service.

Additional Information

• Only Sensor checkin errors are logged in NGINX access.log
• To enable checkin logging add the following configuration in /etc/cb/cb.conf: NginxSuppressCheckinSuccessLogs=False
