Issue/Introduction

Can and should both versions Datacom/DB or Datacom/AD versions 14.0 and 15.x of the Datacom PC subroutine DBPCCPR be installed into the same LPAR?

Cause

With Datacom Version 14.0, two PC CALL modules, DBPCCPR and DBPCSPR, are needed.

With Datacom Version 15.0 and 15.1, a single module, also named DBPCCPR, is used for all PC CALL requirements.

Resolution

Starting with version 15.0, the single module DPBCCPR needs to be installed and activated instead of two.

PC CALL routines version 14.0 and 15.x can be installed in the same LPAR.

They are installed using the same version CAIRIM process with a new additional version 15.x CAIRIM process.

The version 15.x DBPCCPR module is required by Datacom at 15.1 or 15.0.  Datacom 15.0 can use the 15.1 DBPCCPR version.  

The version 14.0 DBPCCPR/DBPCSPR modules are required by Datacom at 14.0.
