CB Response: Windows Server 2016 Endpoints Showing Windows 10 As The OS

Issue/Introduction

When a Windows Server 2016 endpoint checks into CB Response, the 'OS Version' will show as Windows 10 Server.

Environment

• CB Response Server: 5.2 - 6.1.6
• Microsoft Windows: Windows Server 2016

Cause

This is caused by a known issue currently tracked with the ID CB-19010.

Resolution

Upgrade to CB Response Sensor 6.1.7 and higher for Windows resolves this issue.

Additional Information

A hotfix was released to resolve this issue in CB Response Sensor 6.1.6 for Windows.
