Issue/Introduction

  • The Product Configuration tab in Settings > System Health does not show versions for Agent Installers in the environment.
  • A health event appears for a Host Package Installer that has not been installed.
  • The following error shows in events:
Database task SQL exception: EvaluateHealthIndicators - A .NET Framework error occurred during execution of user-defined routine or aggregate "hierarchyid"

Environment

  • App Control Console: All Supported Versions
  • App Control Agent: All Supported Versions

Cause

There could be a couple different reasons for this issue:
  • The Agent Host Packages have not yet been installed.
  • The Agent Package Generation is disabled.
  • Connection to CDC is failing/not established.
  • The missing System Health Alerts are not relevant to the current environment.

Resolution

  1. Reinstall the Agent Host Package Installers.
  2. Troubleshoot reasons for Package Generation to become disabled.
  3. Troubleshoot reasons for CDC Connection failures.
  4. The System Health tab will only show relevant Alerts.
Example: The Linux Host Package has not been installed in the environment. Until it is installed, no Alerts will display for new Linux Agent versions.

Additional Information

  • CDC Connection must be established to receive this update
  • As of Server version 8.1.6 the Health Indicators account for a trailing space in the /shepherd_config.php which was known to also cause this issue.
