App Control: SOAP Error After Updating Computer Template

Issue/Introduction

• Error Message: "Network error while trying to communicate with Carbon Black App Control Server Error: Error fetching http headers"
• PHP error log show following error: SOAP error calling EditHostTemplate: Error Fetching http headers Source: C:\Program Files (x86)\Bit9\Parity Console\WebUI\include\SOAPUtil.php:69 Request URI: /host-details.php

Environment

• App Control Server: Version 8.5.2

Cause

This issue has been identified as product defect EP-11753 and was fixed with the release of Server version 8.6.0.

Resolution

Workaround:

1. Go to the template to rename
2. Under "Template Settings" change the "Clone Clean up" field to "Based on Time" parameter
3. This will work around the problem until a permanent fix is available
