Enable Trusted Communication Certificates Panel

Issue/Introduction

To enable the "Trusted Communication Certificates" panel in Administration (Gear Icon) > System Configuration > Security

Environment

• App Control Server: 8.7.0+
• Windows Agent: 8.7.0+
• macOS Agent 8.9.2+

Resolution

This feature should automatically enable once the following conditions are met:

• App Control Server is upgraded to version 8.7.0 or higher.
• One of the following Host Package Installer versions has been installed:
  • Windows Agent 8.7.0 or higher
  • macOS Agent 8.9.2 or higher

If the feature has not been enabled, and these conditions have been met, manually enable it by doing the following:

1. Log in to the Console and navigate to: https://ServerAddress/shepherd_config.php
2. Locate the Property: DisplayCommunicationKeyConfig
3. Change its value to true
4. Press the Change button to confirm

Additional Information

In most situations this Property is automatically enabled after upgrading to Server version 8.7.0+
