App Control: Agent Out of Date After Host Package Rollback

Issue/Introduction

• Agent Host Package Installer is rolled back (Uploading previous version, ex: replacing 8.7.4 with 8.7.2).
• Endpoint is on matching Agent version (Agent is on 8.7.2 and Server now has Agent Host Package Installer 8.7.2).
• Connection Status in Console now shows Yellow (Agent out of date) despite matching version.

Environment

• App Control Server: 8.8.2-8.10.0
• App Control Host Package Installer: All Supported Versions

Cause

This issue was tracked under EP-15865 and addressed with the release of Server version 8.10.2.

Resolution

Upgrade to Server version 8.10.2 to prevent this behavior. In the meantime:

• This has no negative impact on the Agent, and no workaround to the Server upgrade is available to resolve the incorrect Connection Status from being displayed.
• Upgrading to the previous version of the Host Package Installer (or higher) will allow the Connection Status to be accurately reflected again.
