App Control: How To Enable the Advanced Section for Custom Rules

Issue/Introduction

How can the Advanced Properties section be enabled for Custom Rules?

Environment

• App Control Console: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Log in to the Console and navigate to https://ServerAddress/support.php > Advanced Configuration.
2. Scroll to Software Rules > enable Advanced Rule Options.
3. Click Update.

Additional Information

• Note: When creating a Custom Rule for the first time, the Advanced Properties section will not show until the Custom Rule is saved. 
• After saving the Custom Rule and re-opening it, the Advanced Properties will be available.
