  2. Uninstall the existing App Control Server:
    1. Log in to the application server as the Carbon Black Service Account.
    2. If an App Control Agent is currently installed on the server, temporarily disable Tamper Protection and move it to Local Approval.
    3. Navigate to Start > Run > appwiz.cpl > click OK.
    4. Make a note of the App Control Server version currently installed, and uninstall.
  3. Power down (or rename) the application server.

  5. Install App Control server as outlined in Server Installation guide on VMware Docs.
    • It's best practice to use the same Server version as was used previously.
    • It's best practice to keep the same Server Address as was used previously.
    • When prompted, choose "Use Existing Database".
    • When prompted, use the Certificates stored in the database. If necessary, use the exported backup.
  6. After installation is complete, log in to the Console and confirm Agents are connecting.
