Issue/Introduction
Steps to bind a new certificate to Port 443 in IIS, for the use with the App Control web console.
Environment
- App Control Server: All Supported Versions
- Microsoft Windows Server: All Supported Versions
Resolution
- Log in to the application server hosting the Console as the Carbon Black Service Account.
- Go to: Start > Run > inetmgr > click OK to launch IIS Manager.
- From the Navigation Tree on the left-hand side select the SERVERNAME.
- From the section, IIS choose Server Certificates.
- If the previous certificate is no longer needed it can be deleted now.
- From the right-hand side > Actions > Import...
- Browse to the location of the pfx file, provide the password for the certificate and import it to the Personal Certificate Store.
- From the Navigation Tree on the left-hand side expand SERVER NAME > Sites > right click Parity Console Web > Edit Bindings...
- Select https > Edit > SSL certificate > select the relevant certificate.
- Click OK > Close.
- From the left-hand side > select the SERVERNAME > then on right-hand side > Manage Server > Restart
Note: Please close any previously open browser tabs and open a new browser session
