Carbon Black Cloud: How to Enable Require Code to Uninstall Sensor in the Console

Issue/Introduction

To enable 'Require code to uninstall sensor' option in the console

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Console: All Supported Versions
• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Log in to the Console and navigate to Enforce > Policies > relevant Policy > Sensor.
2. Check the box next to Require Code to Uninstall Sensor.
3. Click Save at the bottom to confirm changes.

Additional Information

• Allow at least one sensor check in for sensor to receive policy change from console
• This will enable, Controlled Uninstall, or Password Protected Uninstall
• Admins can uninstall a group of sensors by using a company deregistration code, or uninstall sensors on a per-device basis by using an individual device uninstall code
