Issue/Introduction

This article details the diagnostic log file location for the App Control agent

Environment

• App Control (Formerly CB Protection): All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Resolution

• For Windows XP and Windows 2003, by default, the cache.db is located in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Bit9\Parity Agent folder while the rest of the logs are in the subfolder Logs.
• For Windows 7 and higher, by default, the cache is located in C:\Programdata\Bit9\Parity Agent folder while the rest of the logs are in the subfolder Logs.

Additional Information

Do not copy the cache.db directly while the agent is running. Copying it directly from this folder could result to a corrupted or incomplete copy.
