Issue/Introduction

Can the sensor be installed to a VMWare ESXi Virtual Machine?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: All Versions
• Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 or later operating system 

Resolution

The sensor is supported on VMware ESXI guests, but not the host itself. The guests OS must be on a supported OS and meet OER.
