EDR: Cb-Event-Forwarder Will Not Start After Upgrading to EDR Server 7.7.0

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading to EDR Server 7.7.0 cb-event-fowarder service does not start

Environment

• EDR Server: 7.7.0
• Event Forwarder: 3.8.2 or less 

Cause

A change to rabbitmq password value was introduced in EDR Server 7.7.0

Resolution

• The 3.8.4 version of the Event Forwarder has been released which includes fixes for this issue
• Please upgrade to the latest version using these steps How to upgrade the Cb-Event-Forwarder

 

Additional Information

NOTE: To use the EDR console to configure and control cb-event-forwarder, the event forwarder must be installed on the Primary server
