CB Defense: Alert States File was Detected by Background Scan When Scan is Disabled by Policy

Issue/Introduction

Alert and Event data indicate that a file was detected as a result of a background scan when background scan has been disabled by policy
 

Environment

• CB Defense PSC Console: All supported versions
• CB Defense PSC Sensor: All supported versions
• Microsoft Windows: All supported versions
• Background Scan disabled by policy

Cause

There is a known issue wherein the console will incorrectly report a file was detected as a result of a background scan

Resolution

This issue is under investigation and will be addressed in a future Sensor release
