Issue/Introduction

How to set a Linux user or group for managing agents

Environment

• CB Protection Console: All Supported Versions
• Linux: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. In the CB Protection console select Administration (Gear Icon) > System Configuration
2. In the General tab select Edit
3. Change "Linux User/Group to Manage Agents" from None to either User or Group
4. Enter the User or Group
5. Click Update

Additional Information

The user option is the user as it would be used in the Linux devices, examples would be items in /etc/passwd
The group option would be any group on the linux devices, examples can be found in /etc/group
