Why are there no alerts generated, when malware is discovered by background scan?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Web Console: All Versions
• Endpoint Standard Sensor: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
• Apple MacOS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

This is expected behavior - Alerts will not be generated for discovery events related to Malware
