Why Are There No Alerts Generated, When Malware is Discovered by a Background Scan?

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Web Console: All Versions
• Endpoint Standard Sensor: All Supported Versions
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions
• Apple MacOS: All Supported Versions

Resolution

This is expected behavior - Alerts will not be generated for discovery events related to Malware

Additional Information

There is a feature request to have this added to the Product.
