EDR: Error: "ValueError: check_hostname requires server_hostname"

Issue/Introduction

• After upgrading to 7.5 UI shows message: "VMware Carbon Black Threat Intel enabled but not connected. Error Code: 605 at YYY-MM-DD and time"
• Alliance Logs: "ValueError: check_hostname requires server_hostname"

Environment

• EDR Server: 7.5.x

Cause

Urllib changed the way they take a proxy config.

Resolution

A code change is slated to occur in a future version to allow this change.

Workaround:

1. From the Application Server navigate to and edit the file /etc/cb/cb.conf
2. Find the line entitled, "AllianceClientProxyURL" and change "HTTPS" to "HTTP"
3. Save changes
4. Restart EDR Server services
