Does the Carbon Black EDR server support a wildcard certificate for server to sensor communication?

• EDR (formerly CB Response) Server: All supported versions

Resolution

No, server certificates are validated to ensure that both SAN and DNS names do not contain wildcards

Additional Information

If the certificate contains wildcards it will not be validated by the server to prevent complications with sensor communication and potential reinstall of all sensors
