Issue/Introduction

How can a sensor other than the latest version be downloaded from the console?

Environment

• Hosted EDR (formerly CB Response Cloud): All supported versions

Resolution

1. Log into the hosted EDR console as an administrator:

• Click on Sensors menu
• Click "New" and create new sensor group 
• Drop down upgrade policy, under the OS you require the sensor and select "Automatically upgrade to the latest version"
• Drop down sensor selection menu and choose sensor version
• Click "Create Group" 

2. Locate sensor group just created:

• Click on the settings gear
• Drop down "Download Sensor Installers"
• The sensor selected in step one will have replaced the "Latest Version" for the OS selected 
• Click the version desired and download

 

Additional Information

• The Cloud Operations team policy is not to make any versions available in the console other than those that appear accept in extreme cases 
• If the sensor required for an extreme case is not listed in the console open a support case
