Carbon Black Cloud: How to reset diagnostic counters on the sensor

Issue/Introduction

Reset diagnostic counters on the Carbon Black Cloud Sensor to provide support for troubleshooting of performance issues.

Environment

• Carbon Black Cloud Sensor: 3.4.0.1016 and higher
• Enterprise EDR (Formerly CB ThreatHunter)
• Microsoft Windows: All Supported Versions

Resolution

1. Open an administrative command prompt
2. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Confer
3. Within the C:\Program Files\Confer directory execute the following command:
   • repcli resetcounters
4. Reproduce the issue being experienced
5. Save the counters recording to a .txt file
   • repcli counters > C:\temp\<sensorVersion_date_counters>.txt
6. Upload the counters.txt file directly to the case
