App Control: Unable to Upgrade Mac Agents via Console

Issue/Introduction

Following message received when upgrading App Control Mac Agent via the Console: 

Agent upgrade: Failed executing Installer[/Library/Application Support/com.bit9.Agent/Data/Bit9MacInstall.bsx] Cmdline[]. Timed out waiting for service to stop.

Environment

• App Control Server: All Versions
• App Control Mac Agent: Version 7.3.4

Cause

Upgrading Mac Agent via the Console is not a suggested method.  

Resolution

Release Notes suggests using a third party tool, such as JAMF, for upgrading the Mac Agents

Additional Information

Be sure to check that the Resource Download Location under "System Configuration > Advanced Options" has not been modified, as this can prevent Mac agents from not upgrading successfully via the console.
