Issue/Introduction

The Current Monthly Price is the sum of monthly prices for all current instances.  The monthly price for each current instance is calculated by extrapolating the actual usage hours to date for the whole month and using on-demand hourly rates for the current instance type.

The Projected Monthly Price is the sum of monthly prices for all recommended instances.  The monthly price for each recommended instance is calculated by assuming the same number of usage hours as that of the current instance and using on-demand hourly rates for the recommended instance type.

For Ex:  If an instance has run for 10 hours in the last 5 days, we extrapolate this for 30 days i.e. total monthly hours for the instance would be 10/5*30 and we multiply this by that instance type's on-demand rate to calculate it's monthly price.  We add this across all instances for 'Current Monthly Price'.  'Projected Monthly Price' computed in same manner.

Please Note:  Summary price values also include the instances for which the tool doesn’t have recommendations. If you toggle “ShowAll” the  Current and Projected Price will match Summary card in UI
