Issue/Introduction

Items to check when you get an Enrollments Error after Confirmation of API Key Updated:

Resolution

1. Make sure the user generating the API Access Key is an Enterprise Enrollment Administrator. Otherwise, the platform is unable to use the key to access the relevant usage reports.

2. Make sure the API Access Key from the EA portal is referenced and not the secret value from the Service Principal.

3. Please confirm that this is a Classic EA, and you have not switched to MCA (Azure Plan).  If you did switch to MCA, then read access is required to the Billing Account to work properly.

Gather your EA credentials:  Enrollment Number, API Access Key, and API Key Expiration Date in yyyy-mm-dd format by  following these steps (below):

1. Log in to the Azure Enterprise Agreement Portal.

2. If you have multiple enrollments, click the one you want to add to the platform.

3. Locate the Enrollment Number in the top left corner of the page below the Azure logo. Copy this number to the text document you have open.

4. From the left menu, click Reports, select the Download Usage tab, and then open the API Access Key page.

5. The user generating the API Access Key must be an Enterprise Enrollment Administrator. Otherwise, the platform is unable to use the key to access the relevant usage reports.

Be sure the user generating the API Access Key is an Enterprise Enrollment Administrator:

6. Log in to the platform and go to Setup > Accounts > Azure Enrollment.

Update the form and save it.

After updating an enrollment key, Microsoft generally takes about 15-30 minutes to enable the enrollment on their side.  Check back after that timeframe and you should see the enrollment show "Healthy".
