Issue/Introduction

This is consumption range for the metrics and parameters can be configured to customize the optimization experience.

Resolution

Assume a range of "Target from = 25%" and "Target up to = 75%" has been configured.

• If the actual metric value is lower than 25%, then the platform will find recommendations which have price less than the current resource.
• If the actual metric value is higher than 75%, then the platform will look for alternatives.  Recommendations may have a higher price than current.
• If there are more than 1 metric configured (eg. CPU is lower than range but Memory is higher than range), the recommendations may have a higher price than current.
• If the actual metric value is between 25% and 75%, the tool will regard the metrics as a being optimally provisioned.  Be advised that there may be recommendations for cheaper instances recommended in that range as well which can lead to cost savings even for optimally provisioned instances.
