Issue/Introduction

The purpose of the Account Status Dashboard is to help track the cost of unconfigured accounts.  This gives them the ability to prioritize the high cost critical accounts first.

The first step is to create a custom perspective that includes breaks down problem accounts by cloud.

AWS and GCP

The Account -> Status works based on numerical values.  For example, Unknown AWS Accounts = 0. Critical Accounts = “3”.

Azure

Azure Subscriptions are a little different.  You need to search for the “Is_Derived” = ”True”.

Use this mapping to select all appropriate account filters across all clouds in the Perspectives UI as seen below:

The resulting groups will appear.

Once the Perspective is built, you can build whatever reports/dashboards needed utilizing this perspective.

Example Dashboard

If you are looking for a good example on how to utilize this perspective in reporting, see below:

- Navigate to the tenant "Global Payments"

- Click the Dashboards dropdown and select "Account Status Dashboard"

This dashboard is a great example of how to gain visibility into account health and identify potential account that need attention.  It can be used as a good reference when building out dashboards for other customers:
