Manually mapping existing users to Usergroups and FlexOrgs

Issue/Introduction

In addition to being dynamically mapped, users can also be manually mapped to Usergroups and FlexOrgs. 

Resolution

Usergroups allow both manual users and SSO users to be mapped manually, once the user has signed in for the first time.

In order to do so please follow these steps:

 

1. Navigate to Setup -> Admin -> Usergroups. 
2. Select the Usergroup you wish to map the user to and switch to the Members tab.
3. Select the Add Members option in the top right corner.
   
   
   
   
4. Within the pane that opens select your user and select Confirm in the top right.

This will manually map the user to the Usergroup. Manual assignments supersede assignments via SSO attributes and can be used to assign a user if they aren't currently passing the correct attribute via SSO. The use of a manual assignment can also maintain the user's access, in the case that the attribute or value is removed for the user at the IDP level.
