Issue/Introduction
There are few circumstances in which Recommendations won't be made for existing infrastructure outlined below.
Resolution
Dynamo DB Recommendations are by nature Partial Upfront due to the Upfront + Hourly Payment that is made in purchased Reserved Capacity - https://aws.amazon.com/dynamodb/pricing/provisioned/
In order to generate Recommendations please change the Payment Type to "Partial Upfront" to view Dynamo DB recommendations.
OpenSearch - There are number of Instance Types that do not have Reservations possible currently - https://aws.amazon.com/opensearch-service/pricing/#Reserved_Instance_pricing lists those Instance Types that do have recommendations possible.
If the Instance Type doesn't appear under this section AWS Commitment Discounts won't recommend for that Instance Type e.g. - t2.medium.search doesn't appear in the above list.
Elasticache - A number of Node Types are now considered Previous Generation Node Types and will be listed under - https://aws.amazon.com/elasticache/previous-generation/ -> "Previous Generation Reserved Nodes for Amazon ElastiCache"
Previous Generation Reserved Nodes aren't possible to be purchased from AWS as of June 1, 2023 as mentioned under - https://aws.amazon.com/elasticache/previous-generation/ these Nodes won't have Recommendations made under AWS Commitment Discounts.
