Issue/Introduction

The platform only uses CloudTrail integration for Policy Actions to notify Email Owner. 

Resolution

For example in the policy below, when EC2 Instance is missing tag CreationTime, Action is to Email Owner:

In order to assign IAM Users to Users in the platform, the platform uses CloudTrail events to populate this table.  If a CloudTrail action initiated by a user, that user appears in this table https://apps.cloudhealthtech.com/iam_user_assignments:

Once IAM Users are assigned to Users in the platform, the Assets report column "Owner Email" will populate which will trigger the Policy action to email the IAM User who launched the instance.

Enabling CloudTrail is not required for Olap Reports and FlexReport to show CloudTrail costs.
