Why can't I generate an API key for the platform?

Issue/Introduction

There are two ways this can manifest:

- The "Get API Key" button is not present under your user profile settings

- The "Get API Key" button is present but pressing it results in a "You are not authorized to access this page. " error message 

Either scenario means that your assigned role within the platform does not have the permission to provision API keys.  To resolve this issue, your role must be changed or updated to allow the permission "Generate API Key Profile".  

Please reach out to an administrator within your account to discuss changing your role settings.  The Technical Support Team will not be able to assist you in changing your assigned role, as this must be handled by an administrator within your account.
