Issue/Introduction

The EC2 Instance Hours report can be confusing and not provide the best visibility into the information available.  Below is a layout for the report that will arrange various cost data in a logical way that will make sense as to how the Total Cost is calculated.  The first step is to navigate to the EC2 Instance Hours Report via REPORTS>USAGE>EC2 INSTANCE HOURS and click on the "Edit Columns" button at the top of the page.  From here,

EC2 Total Cost

EC2 Compute Cost

EC2 Transfer Cost

EC2 EBS-Optimized Surcharge

EC2 Dedicated Tenancy Cost

EC2 Other Cost

EBS Total Cost

EBS Storage Cost

EBS I/O Cost

EBS PIOPS Cost
