You may come across an issue when attempting to assign a new account(s) to one of your customers that the account does not appear in the list of available accounts.
An AWS Account will not appear in the list of available accounts to be assigned if the ‘Account Type’ currently shows as ‘No Current Billing’:
This means that the platform has not yet discovered the account in billing files and has not yet been able to determine which billing account that it is linked to. Once the platform sees line items belonging to the account(s) in question (this generally takes place during overnight processing) the ‘Account Type’ status will be updated accordingly, and you will see that the account(s) will now be available for assignment to your customer.
An AWS Account may show as ‘No Current Billing’ if you’ve just added the account, and we’ve not yet received an updated billing file containing line items for the account(s) in question or if the account(s) have not yet incurred any costs.
