Issue/Introduction

What can cause a policy to evaluate inactive assets?

Resolution

Inactive assets, or assets which live under an account which is no longer active (deactivated) may be included in policy evaluations depending on the state of these assets in CloudHealth.

  • If an account is in critical, this affects our ability to collect the most up-to-date data. Please ensure that all accounts have a valid role with the necessary permissions.
  • When an account is deactivated, Cloudhealth may not be able to update the status of the assets because we no longer have API access to do so. These assets remain as active.

For this situation, CloudHeath Support can manually deactivate assets associated with inactive accounts. Please log a support ticket including the Owner ID for account(s) you will like for this process to be run against.
