Issue/Introduction
One of the Partner Platform features is the ability to create Partner Billing Rules to insert AWS Support costs within the Customer Tenant.
Resolution
The platform will process AWS support one of two ways:
If the customer has AWS support costs written to their billing file, and a Partner Billing Rule exists for inserting AWS Support, then the existing support line items from AWS will be filtered out / not included in the processed bill. After these are filtered out, the platform creates and injects new line items for the support costs that have been set in the Partner Billing Rules.
If the customer has AWS support costs written to their billing file, and a Partner Billing Rule has not been configured for AWS Support, then we pass existing support lines straight through to the Customer Tenant.
