Meaning of Compliance States under AWS Config Rules Report

Issue/Introduction

The information that platform displays within the AWS Config Rules Report is pulled directly from AWS via API (GetComplianceDetailsByConfigRule).

Resolution

There are three main Compliance States:

• Compliant
• Non-Compliant
• Insufficient Data

 

AWS Config returns the Insufficient Data value when no evaluation results are available for the AWS resource or AWS Config rule.
