Issue/Introduction

Symantec Patch Management solution has been migrated to a new version of patch datafeed (7.4) starting from PMImport build 7.4.1484 . After migrating to the Patch data feed 7.4 Windows assessment Scan is failing with the below error.

Error 1:

Windows System Assessment Scan failed with Exit code=-2147467260 

Error 2:

HR=0x80004005, MSG='Utils::Xml::StringToDocument()- Couldn't load XML text'
Failed to launch assessment scan for provider: Traditional
operation failed: Operation aborted (-2147467260)

Received below error when tried to open the " STPatchAssessment.xml" Located in "C:\Program Files\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Agents\SoftwareManagement\Software Delivery\{6D417916-467C-46A7-A870-6D86D9345B61}\cache"  ( Default lociton ).

Windows assessment failed for both 7.1 and 7.4 datafeed, but works fine 7.3 datafeed.

Resolution

This issue is fixed in PMImport build 7.4.1501.
