Issue/Introduction

In the Performance Center dashboard, it shows interfaces that doesn't exist in the group.

For example, in the group, it only contain cisco 1921 VPN interfaces but somehow in the dashboard, it contains interfaces that doesn't match with the group in the NetOps Portal.

Environment

Dx NetOps Portal : Any Release.

Cause

If you are seeing items in a group that shouldn't be there, it usually means the items were removed from the group and a full sync was requested at the same time.   We don't push deletes during full syncs.  So the DA membership could include items that no longer should be there.

Resolution

There are a few workarounds:

  1. 1. add the bad items to the group by manual process, and then delete them from the group, and the Device Manager will push those membership deletes to Data Aggregator.  You can wait for the add's to be pushed before deleting them from group.
  2.
  3. 2. there is a setting on /rest/dataaggregator for PurgeGroupMembershipOnFullSync.  Setting this to true will cause the next full push to remove all non-collection group members in the Data      Aggregator, then Data Aggregatgor pushes it's current live group members and they get recreated in the DA.  The caveat here is it doesn't fix Custom Collection groups.
  4.
  5.        3. Create a new group with the correct rules, validate it has all the same members and then delete the old group.
