Bulk SNMP self certification assistance for snmpcollector

Issue/Introduction

We have been advised to perform the self-certification on our devices for SNMP. We have followed the KB article suggested by the support. Please find the link below: https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/108038

This document suggests that we run the self-certification for each device against each profile, which would require us to run the self-certification 107*8 times which would be a tedious and time consuming task.

Resolution

Bulk self-certification is not possible for different types of devices. Different types of devices require different certificates as MIBS are different for those devices. But if the MIBs and OIDS are the same, then a single certification will work for the same type of devices and there is no need to certify each device if the MIBS are the same.
